About Me

Close up of a quilt in progress. The quilt features a pink and orange heart inside a white chat bubble on a grey background. There are safety pins all over the quilt, and it is being fed through a Janome sewing machine.Like many quilters, my story starts with a baby quilt. Or maybe it starts earlier than that, with the first quilt my grandmother made for me. Or even earlier, when my mom taught me how to sew and I spent hours playing with the fabric scraps from our old Halloween costumes.

I have always been a creative person, dabbling in all sorts of crafts and hobbies. Chainmail, scrapbooking, folk art painting—you name it, I’ve probably done it. But quilting is the one thing that “stuck”. There’s something magnificent about taking small pieces of fabric and joining them together to make a snuggly quilt.

My name is Jocelyn.

I was born and raised on the Canadian prairies. I am a huge nerd, and even met my husband while playing a video game. We’re currently in the process of trying to move to the US, where I have bigger plans for my shop and business.

After graduating with a B.A. in Sociology, I worked retail for several years where I developed a passion for customer service and growing a business. I left my retail job to pursue a career in social media marketing, and I currently spend my days helping small businesses across North America grow their online presence.

I strongly believe in ethical business practices, and I strive to be inclusive. I believe in supporting the LGBTQ+ community and that Black Lives Matter today, and all days. I oppose society’s strange need to “gender” baby items, which is why you won’t see any of my quilts described as “for girls” or “for boys”.

Every one of my quilts is made with love.

Handcrafted items often come with a higher standard of quality, and my quilts are no exception. I use only the best materials—including designer-quality quilting cotton—so that my quilts will last a lifetime, wash after wash.
